Alec Armstrong
(He/Him), TLLP
I completed my graduate training in Counseling Psychology at Wayne State University and I am currently a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist in Michigan. My clinical work spans children, adolescents, and adults. I practice from a client-centered therapeutic approach, where there is an emphasis on establishing a safe and supportive environment that fosters personal growth and well-being. I specialize in the treatment of ADHD, depression, and anxiety. Most of my clinical experience has been with children, using play therapy to help them better manage and express their emotions.
I offer a comfortable, convenient setting where both adults and children can express themselves verbally or through play. I offer services that help to identify and treat the symptoms that impair healthy functioning. One of those services being Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is considered the "gold standard" for trauma treatment.
We all have difficult or negative experiences that occur in our lives. I would love to help you process and get past these experiences to ensure they do not continue to affect your life or the relationships you value most. This process can help you to heal and reclaim your life. Change is possible, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
