About Me
Hi there, and welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Beginning therapy is often the hardest step, and my goal is to provide a supportive and grounding space where you feel seen, heard, and understood as you begin your healing process.
Life can bring a wide range of challenges, transitions, and emotional stressors that leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. At times, our inner dialogue can become critical or unhelpful, making it harder to move forward. In our work together, I aim to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build the tools you need to move toward your full potential.
My Background
I am a counselor trained at Western Michigan University, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in behavioral settings, as well as in individual and group counseling environments. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for each person’s unique story and how different areas of life impact mental health and well-being.
As a neurodivergent clinician, I also understand firsthand what it can feel like to navigate internal and external challenges related to identity, attention, regulation, and self-understanding. I strive to create a space where your voice is centered and your experience is validated.
My Approach
I work from an integrative approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, and humanistic counseling.
When appropriate, I also incorporate mindfulness-based practices, spirituality, and faith-based counseling to support the connection between emotional, mental, and personal growth.
Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and developing healthy communication and boundaries. My role is to support the process while you remain the expert of your own experience.
